Speech Guru
Hi all,
I am Sam Gopalan, an SLP working at present in the US.I have come up
with this idea of bringing up a new web site, Speech
Guru, to integrate all the therapeutic solutions each one of us have
acquired during our life journey to achieve the objective HEALTHY
COMMUNICATION FOR ALL. This web site equally regards views from patients
and family. Your support and assistance to make this a successful
endeavor will be highly appreciated at my end. This site mainly deals with
chat where you can discuss various issues pertaining to speech, language,
hearing, swallowing, communication and technology. You also can post
your research work, queries and share your professional experiences for
innovative clinical management. Please feel free to forward this
message to all your friends and colleagues.
Sincerely,
Sowmya Narayanan Gopalan

From ASHA
Helping Your Child With Speech
"I read the comment about "Late Talking Children." As a professional and a parent, wouldn't it be better to seek professional help if your have questions rather than wait and see if your child is like Sowell's son. If a child turns five and is still now talking, you can never get back those precious learning years when intervention may have been appropriate. The American Speech
Language Hearing Association does not support the opinions or suggestions in this book. Many parents says positive things, but most professionals are
appalled with his advice. Yes, all children follow their own timetables, but all do not catch-up. Please seek professional help if you have questions.
