cato associates are to follow strict policies, to protect their customers from fraud. anyone can pay your bill but not anyone can use the account. If someone paid 10$ on a bill then charged $200 on it without checking ID and it wasn't their card the associate would be fired. so unless you want to give the poor gals new jobs keep that photo ID handy. Kudos to store clerk for doing as they were told.
